Head to Head Haiku : wild poetry slam meets mindful Japanese tea ceremony Head to Head Haiku (HHH) is a performance poetry form introduced to the Slam Poetry community by Daniel Ferri (as heard on NPR) more than a decade ago at the National Poetry Slam. Samantha Jane (aka Sam-R-I) learned from the Head to Head Haiku guru and received the transmission to host and offers her own version of HHH for New England audiences and beyond. Sam-R-I hosted the Head to Head Haiku match at the Individual World Poetry Slam 2006 in Charlotte North Carolina.
